With
a shortage of minorities in education, business, and government,
El Valor has taken a giant step in building stronger, more inclusive
communities by encouraging a diverse group of individuals to pursue
degrees, and assume leadership roles in their communities.
Through El Valor partnerships with colleges and universities, working
people who would otherwise be unable to further their education,
have the opportunity to participate in degree programs. These programs
are conveniently offered during evenings and weekends at El Valor
centers in the community.
Through El Valor's university programs, individuals may pursue
either an associate, bachelor, master, or doctoral degree in areas
such as:
• early childhood education
• educational administration
• speech therapy
• rehabilitation
• guidance
• counseling
• business
Over 500 adults have completed their degrees through the cohort
program.
